Sometimes when I hear our leaders talk on various platforms across the country, I become frightened of what is to come of the next generation.

Question: What are they leaving for us?
What will we handover to the next generation?
How is the educational system being managed and controlled?
Are we safe as people, with the current mindset and education?

Several learners graduate every year from several universities, and as graduates, you asked them what they are worth for, they cannot even answer.
You ask them what their next step is, in life; they stand aloof confused.

SHS learners finish school, and they cannot even determine their next level in life.

I believe schooling should be in line with education to transform the learners mind for the best. We should not only produce verbatim students (graduates) but thinkers and problem solvers.

There was a village in a town, with only one source of water the villagers draw water from. One day, a dog died in that water and contaminated the well water. Leaving the villagers disturbed, they went to seek advice and solution from the only wise man in the village.
Upon discussions, the wise man asked them to fetch all the well water out. They did, and still had the same issue with the water.

They came the second time to the wise man, complaining about the solution he gave them, he then asked them to fetch the well water out again. They did, and still the issue persist.

They came the third time to the wise man, lamenting about the solution, and the wise man asked, " did you brought out the remains of the dead dog after fetching the water out?"; they answered: NO. The wise man asked them to fetch the water out, this time, they should remove the remains. And they had a safe water.

Once a wolf was roaming about in a field of grass where a flock of sheep came grazing everyday. He was hiding behind a bush. Getting a chance, he carried away a lamb to eat it at a safe place. Unfortunately, a lion came there, snatched the lamb and went to his den to eat it at leisure.

When the lion had walked just a few steps away, the wolf said, "It is down daylight robbery- so unjust for a lion to snatch my morsel from me. It is below his dignity."

Hearing the wolf's grumble, the lion laughed and replied, "A thief is questioning a robber- how strange! Did you get this lamb as a gift from a friend? You stole it out of a flock. Was that fair?"

Once upon a time there was a watch-dog sleeping in a farm-yard in the sun. Somehow a wolf got into the farm and attacked the sleeping dog. Taken aback, the dog begged for mercy.

He said, "Sir! I am very thin and weak as I am new here. Let me get fat after feeding on rich food that I get here. Then you can come and eat me up."

The wolf was taken by the dog's words and went away leaving it free. The dog thanked his stars and decided not to sleep in an unsafe place.

After few days, the wolf re-visited the farm and looked for the dog. This time the dog was lying very safely on the roof of the stable. Seeing the dog, the wolf said, "Hope you remember your commitment. So, come down and be my meat".

The dog said, "Who makes agreements for death? Get lost Mr., wolf."

The wolf went away repenting over his folly.
